Darcy McGrath (she/her/they) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist born and practising on the unceded Kombumerri Country, Gold Coast. She has a BFA from Queensland University of Technology, and has participated in silversmithing classes through TAFE and art mentorships and programs through Gold Coast Council Arts and Culture Sector.

The overarching theme of Darcy’s art practice is acknowledging disturbing and peculiar facets in nature, history and art. They analyse this theme through the perspective of someone who has felt like an outsider, and she gives her attention and admiration back to things that feel undesirable or under-appreciated.
Their work and practice are grounded in researching a wide variety of materials and techniques, some of which are painting, sculpture, textiles, and photography.

Currently, they are inspired by religious, vintage, and ancient symbols and iconography. Her goals for 2026 are to incorporate metal and techniques like soldering into their art practice as well as organising and curating a group show.
